What's In your Water

Two major issues in this water

Sediment, made up of tiny grains of organic materials like silt, sand, rust or clay, sediment and turbidity (the even tinier pieces of sediment) is naturally occurring and can increase in volume in water mains after a big rain storm.
The Whole house filter will remove these particles.

Contrary to popular belief this is what you see as build up on faucets and other surfaces not calcium (lime) or hard water, when these are filtered out these deposits diminish dramatically in some homes completely. Our filters stop the sediment.

here's a pic of the filters after about a year

Chemicals
The water here is treated with chlorine to kill bacteria, but it remains in the drinking & bathing water etc.
We had a water test done by an independent lab that shows our proprietary aquarium grade carbon removed 76 out of the 76 chemicals tested for so the chlorine bad taste & odor is gone, the water from the system is better than most bottled water.

Plastic fibres found in tap water around the world, study reveals

Microplastic contamination has been found in tap water in countries around the world, leading to calls from scientists for urgent research on the implications for health.

Scores of tap water samples from more than a dozen nations were analysed by scientists for an investigation by Orb Media, who shared the findings with the Guardian. Overall, 83% of the samples were contaminated with plastic fibres.

The US had the highest contamination rate, at 94%, with plastic fibres found in tap water sampled at sites including Congress buildings, the US Environmental Protection Agency’s headquarters, and Trump Tower in New York.

Current standard water treatment systems do not filter out all of the microplastics, Mahon said: “There is nowhere really where you can say these are being trapped 100%. In terms of fibres, the diameter of the fibers is greater than 10 microns across and it would be very unusual to find that level of filtration in our drinking water systems.”

The Nova Filter surpasses that desired level of filtration suggested by these scientists
